Quick-Start

Racing this week:

American Le Mans Series – Petit Le Mans, Road Atlanta;
IndyCar Series – Homestead-Miami Speedway, Florida;
NASCAR Sprint Cup – Kansas Speedway;
World Rally Championship – Rallye de France, Alsace;

Usual restrictions apply, pick up to 7 drivers in any individual race up to a maximum of 10 drivers.

The cutoff is Saturday 2nd October at 4.59am BST (British Summer Time = GMT+1), that’s 11.59pm Friday night US EDT.

For the full results from Week 35, read on.

How To Enter

1. Reply to this post.

2. List up to 10 drivers, with no more than 7 from a single event.

3. Send your entry before the stated deadline. You can make as many changes as you like until the closing point, I’ll take your last entry.

Most weeks feature 2 or 3 races, some weeks may have more than that and some may only have one. There’s not a rule stating you have to choose a driver in each race, any combination of up to 10 drivers is accepted.

On to the results!

Congratulations to Sebastian for returning to winning ways, and to Jon for coming second twice in two weeks. I’m very happy with third and the highest F1 score. The midfield players were fairly close, unfortunately Burwellian and Jackie were a little way behind.

For further insight into how the scores were calculated, Sebastian shows them in a different format and you can see the table here.

No changes and fairly tight scoring means the gaps didn’t really change either – I expect they will in the week ahead, one of the last few major weeks of the campaign.

Of note this week, Jon is still catching Speedgeek and there are only 46 points between them now. Towards the tail Burwellian has started to put up a defence against Jackie – I hope this battle will run to the finish! When I put together this game I didn’t simulate the final scores, I am amazed that we are about to pass 10,000 points.

It is worth pointing out that Clint Bowyer’s disputed points penalty will not affect any TMRG players as nobody picked him that week.

Results sheets are now available on the TMR drop.io.

Coming Up – Week 35

ALMS – The series finale is the 1000-mile / 10-hour enduro at Road Atlanta, Petit Le Mans. Audi and Peugeot are both present with two cars each but who will make the finish, and will another prototype jump some of them? Make your picks accordingly. The entry list is linked here (see red text beneath the icons). Don’t be tempted to pick the hybrid GT Porsche, it won’t be scoring ALMS points so under TMRG rules it won’t be scoring game points.

IndyCar – Another series finale this weekend is at the Homestead oval, vaguely near Miami. It is Power vs Franchitti for the title, you’ve got to assume both will try to finish but will both try to win the race or is that too risky? Here is this week’s entry list.

WRC – A change of venue for the French round of the series. Gone are the island lanes of Corsica, replaced with the roads of the Alsace area which just happens to be the home region of none other than Sebastien Loeb.

NASCAR Sprint Cup – Kansas this week.. but with PLM and Miami I can’t see many picks from here. Current Standings

Enjoy the races!
