Congrats to Sebastian! Gavin was a little way back in 2nd and then another fair chunk of points back Sean and Felipe are tied in 3rd.

Andy and Dylan had bad weeks.

Please see the results produced by Sebastian for a break-down driver by driver (I awarded an extra point for Rebellion #12 finishing 41st on laps completed, rather than something like 46th officially after it retired).

Sebastian’s big score this week brings him to just 24 points off Sean, it looks like we may have a fight on for the win!

Gavin’s pulling clear in 3rd.

After Andy passed me last week it was his turn to drop back this time, and Felipe took advantage as well. And Jackie is now under a bit of pressure from a certain rabbit.

Races This Week

F1 Singapore

The Singapore GP marks the beginning of the final sequence of ‘flyaways’ for the F1 teams, as they embark a schedule of 5 GPs in 8 weeks all across Asia, followed by a gruelling time-change to Brazil for the finale. The night race is rapidly becoming the annual sign that the season is coming to a close.

Singapore doesn’t seem to produce quite the same level of hitting-the-barrier unpredictability as most street races though it has been known to catch a few out, notably at the tunnel under the grandstand.

LMS Estoril

We’re in a run of 4 consecutive ACO-rules sportscar races split across various championships. This week we have the 6 Hours of Estoril in Portugal.

I don’t believe the LMS has ever visited Estoril before, as previously the Portuguese round was held at the modern Portimao circuit. Estoril was designed as a sister-track to the Circuit de Catalunya although it hasn’t moved with the times quite as much as its F1-hosting relative.

As an LMS-only race (no ILMC cars) the field is somewhat weaker than at Silverstone. The entry list is here (click ‘List des Engages’ for the current version).

NASCAR Cup New Hampshire

To Loudon once more, the summer event was won by Ryan Newman who was followed home by Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. Based on more recent results the momentum seems to be with the Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch but as always with NASCAR, that could change at any race.

Good luck!
