What a week for Sebastian! Everyone had one or two of the races give them a high score, Sebastian managed to score well in three, really well done.
Startledbunny and James had a decent week, too. From Speedgeek down to me the scoring is closer to the sort of spread you’d expect to see in an average week.
In some weeks the scoring seems to broadly match the leaderboard so I’m heartened in weeks like this when people across the board score well, and others nearer the top score badly, such as myself. I don’t mind a bad week if it makes the game closer, but I’m not doing it deliberately, must try harder!
Sebastian has been keeping his own records of the scores and has kindly made them available for all players to see, his tables are presented differently to mine and show a break-down of points awarded to each player’s drivers. You can view the table here — note that he has also worked out the scores should both Ferrari entries be disqualified from the German GP, an interesting comparison! You can see how almost everyone chose Vettel and Power, as you might expect with their form.

Sebastian’s consistently high scoring has moved him a full week’s scoring ahead of the rest of us, that’s excellent work.
Positions 2 to 5 close up to each other as each successive player scored more than the one above them, realistically it is difficult to catch the leader now but the fight for runner-up is wide open.
There were no position changes this week but the points totals have shifted enough to make it more likely in weeks ahead.
Results sheets will available on the TMR drop.io soon.
Coming Up – Week 27
Three events this week:
Formula 1 – The Hungarian GP has traditionally been one of the most boring events of the F1 year, however the realigment of turn 1 and the section leading to the final few corners a few years ago seems to have improved the racing at this track. It still may not be a stellar event, but it shouldn’t be utterly bland either. Who do you go for? Ferrari and Red Bull are the current form teams but McLaren could retake their early-season position at any race.
World Rally – One of rallying’s classic events, Rally Finland. with very fast narrow asphalt roads which take a lot of skill to master. It is hard to count out the usual suspects. Raikkonen has been picking up pace, could he be the dark horse on his home event or will he throw it off the road again? The official website is useless for entry lists so again we’ll have to check the official rally website. Of note is the return of Juha Kankunnen, it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on, probably not worth picking here though.
NASCAR Sprint Cup – The second visit of the season to the bumpy 2.5 miles Pocono tri-oval. Denny Hamlin won the first visit, can he repeat? www.nascar.com
Enjoy the races!

CALENDAR NOTES
– The third round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup has been confirmed for November 7th at Zhuhai, China. This is the only date on the Asian LMS schedule as there is no Okayama round.
– The DTM has adjusted its calendar. The series will now visit Adria pn October 31st rather than Shanghai, and the Shanghai race is now on November 28th. This makes Shanghai the final round of the Game, which is now extended to a 44th week.
Separately, the blog sidebar calendar will be updated Wednesday, I’ve run out of time today.

I’ve actually forgotten exactly who my carryovers are, but intend to carryover my NASCAR picks again. Think my F1 picks are the 2 Ferrari’s, the 2 McLaren’s and Vettel? If so, I’d like to bring in Webber and drop Button please.
