TMR Game – Week 32

Welcome to Week 32 of the Too Much Racing Game!

Apologies for the delay, I’ve been away and when I came back I was exhausted. I should have allowed a post-F1 rest day before returning to work!

Quick-Start

Racing this week:

IndyCar Series – Kentucky Speedway, Sparta, Kentucky, USA;
DTM – Brands Hatch, Kent, England;
NASCAR Sprint Cup – Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta, USA;

Usual restrictions apply, pick up to 7 drivers in any individual race up to a maximum of 10 drivers.

The cutoff is Saturday 4th September at 4.59am BST (British Summer Time = GMT+1), that’s 11.59pm Friday night US EDT.

For the full results from Week 30, read on.

How To Enter

1. Reply to this post.

2. List up to 10 drivers, with no more than 7 from a single event.

3. Send your entry before the stated deadline. You can make as many changes as you like until the closing point, I’ll take your last entry.

Most weeks feature 2 or 3 races, some weeks may have more than that and some may only have one. There’s not a rule stating you have to choose a driver in each race, any combination of up to 10 drivers is accepted.

On to the results!

Well done Sebastian – he does it again! The analytical approach is paying off, that and the fact nobody else picked the two winning and two second-place drivers in the ALMS race, which made a big difference.

Nice to see Speedgeek up high in the scoring again, and I’m very happy to be 3rd. Jackie will be pleased to be in the top four!

For further insight into how the scores were calculated, Sebastian shows them in a different format and you can see the table here.

Sebastian extends his lead at the top and I consolidate my 2nd position. The Speedgeek jumps Sean for 4th.

Jackie is closing in on Burwellian quite quickly now.

Results sheets will available on the TMR drop.io soon.

Coming Up – Week 32

IZOD IndyCar Series – Kentucky Speedway this week, not sure it is a classic but may be worth a look.  www.indycar.com (driver list);

NASCAR Sprint Cup – The season’s second race at Atlanta, from what I remember this is a pretty boring race but perhaps this one will be different? In March the top five were Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Juan Montoya, Kasey Kahne and Paul Menard but that probably doesn’t mean much, perhaps you should look at the Current Standings too.

DTM – Brands Hatch may be a classic circuit but it is hopeless for good racing in anything faster than BTCC cars, so the DTM on the short Indy circuit tends to be a little processional. DTM site.

Enjoy the races!
