I congratulate myself! Well done, self. It was a good choice to take RG’s route of avoiding NASCAR for this weekend, although RG himself didn’t fare quite so well. I was actually a little disappointed before I’d worked out the totals because I’d dropped Tony Kanaan in favour of Alex Tagliani based on the qualifying results, yet TK finished 4th and Tags was down in 15th so I lost 17 points. The win softens the disappointment!

Jackie’s recent run of form continues too with a good spread of scores across the series, keep it up and you’ll catch Burwellian in no time.

Not to jinx anyone but over the last three weeks (weeks 30 to 32) Jackie has scored more than anyone else with 919, I’m second on 918 and Sebastian is third on 903, Speedgeek is 4th on 871.

Some were caught out by the low than expected positions of Will Power and Ryan Briscoe in IndyCar, Mattias Ekstrom in DTM and Kevin Harvick in Cup.

For further insight into how the scores were calculated, Sebastian shows them in a different format and you can see the table here. Interesting to see the high efficiency rating of our DTM picks, it seems Spengler and di Resta are essential picks.

No changes in position this week. I closed in a little on Sebastian and for the second week running pulled a big advantage on RG, I’m closing in on securing that 2nd position. RG and The Speedgeek retain their relative points gap. Sean remains close to Speedgeek although has been falling back of late. Startledbunny has outscored Jon for the last five consecutive weeks to varying degrees, could we see a position change there in the not too distant future?

There are 12 weeks left including this one, if we are to close the season with the Asian Le Mans Series race at Shanghai.

Results sheets are now available on the TMR drop.io, apologies for skipping the last few weeks.

Coming Up – Week 33

Formula 1 – From one classic to another, the legendary Autodromo di Monza for the Italian Grand Prix;

Le Mans Series – Silverstone 1000km. The final round of the LMS doubles as the first round of the inaugural ILMC. There’s a small chance I’ll be attending, although after the Belgian trip punched a hole in my finances I may stay back and watch Monza on TV instead. Entry list

NASCAR Sprint Cup – The short oval of Richmond. Current Standings

World Rally – After a year away the WRC returns to Japan. PDF entry list

Enjoy the races!
