See this page for the game rules.

Email reminders will be sent on Thursdays or Fridays by either myself or Sebastian. Please leave a valid email address in the comment form. If you do not wish to receive reminders please let us know, otherwise we’ll assume we’re okay to send them. Also let us know (privately if you prefer) if you would like to use a different address to the one you use here. I may also use Twitter or other sites if I happen to see you there on Thursday or Friday.

A great week for Sebastian! A late change from Dovizioso to Spies secured an exta 15 points which meant he took this week’s win ahead of a resurgent Jackie. Felipe and Mav had good weeks too. Sean made a change from Kanaan to Dixon and lost five points.

It was clear the right strategy this week was to avoid the Cup race as everybody who skipped it finished ahead of those who didn’t. Part of that was down to a poor result from Juan Pablo Montoya who was running in the top ten until the latter stages before winding up 22nd. Speedgeek and Startledbunny picked Tony Stewart (I nearly did too), he was running 2nd until Vickers took him out in retaliation for earlier contact.

Dylan did only pick 9 entries. I had the choice of leaving it as it was, or going back and ‘topping up’ which has been done before in the game. That means going back to the last full entry featuring a series also racing this week, which was easy with both IndyCar and Cup racing just a week ago, then running through his entry from last week and using the first driver in that list which hadn’t been picked this week. That was Castroneves. Please don’t take advantage of this and purposely leave off drivers or my patience may be tested..

Do check the more detailed sheet produced by Sebastian.

Sebastian takes the lead! A big points differential between he and Sean this week means they switch positions at the top, the margin is still only 12 points though and they enjoy a comfortable advantage over the chasing group.

That group is headed by myself but with Rubbergoat now only two points back that might change next time out.

Jackie jumps up to 8th and overtakes Ryan and Mav, whilst Dylan passes the non-entering James.

Upcoming Races

This is the halfway point of the TMRG season and my hasn’t it rolled around quickly? No rest this week, we have four races to choose between.

ILMC / LMS – Imola 6 Hours

I don’t remember a big endurance place taking place at Imola before, not in the current era anyway although I’m probably wrong. It should be a lot of fun though! I think it might be a bit too narrow in places so traffic management will be even more crucial than usual. It also seems quite close to Le Mans to be doing another long race.

ILMC website and PDF Entry List.

MotoGP: Mugello

Italy has another big series this weekend, Misano is always packed to the rafters with fans of both Valentino Rossi and Ducati and now the two are united expect nothing short of hysteria. Could it be enough to push him to a win..?
Dani Pedrosa is expected to return this weekend, it’ll be interesting to see if he’s fully healed.

NASCAR Cup: Daytona 400

We’re halfway through the year so the Cup Series will now start to revisit tracks it visited earlier in the year, and where better to start than Daytona itself? 400 miles this time. With the continuation of the ‘two-by-two’ racing expect the drinking term of the race to be ‘dance partner’ – you’ll have a hangover on Monday.

DTM – Norisring

One of the shortest street tracks in the world at 1.4 miles, made up by a long start/finish straight and just 5 real corners, there is always a bit of banging and barging around the streets of Nuremberg. Jamie Green has won here for the last three years.

Good luck!

  1. That went well. I would have thought that Dovisioso breaking his foot would have severely compromised his race, hence the fortuitous switch to Spies, but I guess in MotoGP that such a minor injury only counts as a scratch. They are all mad. We should get bonus points for predicting whom Simoncelli will take out this week. Is not the MotoGP at Mugello?
