Congrats to Sebastian for winning the week, quite an achievement for both he and Jackie to break away when much of the field was covered by 17 points, however when the Cup race is won by Paul Menard you know it is an odd week.

Sebastian has made back much of his lost ground to Sean, the gap is now 14 points. I’ve regained 3rd although only by a single point! Andy and Felipe are just two points apart now.

Races This Week

IndyCar Mid-Ohio

Quite a processional race, the way F1 used to be, because it is narrow and there is only one real passing place (one and a half for those willing to push).

ALMS Mid-Ohio

This is usually much the better of the two races in this double-header, because the speed differentials between the classes creates a lot of passing opportunities where otherwise there are none. PDF Entry List

NASCAR Cup Pocono

A second visit to this track this year, there are enough people who say the races at this track are long and boring to convince me not to watch it, even if it turns out to be not half bad.

DTM Nurburgring

Seems odd to have a decent-sized championship visit a venue so soon after the F1 GP. They cut off the bottom section of the track to increase the lap count.

Apologies for getting lucky two weeks running. Predicting that NASCAR result was like trying to juggle jelly. Since we all had similar F1 picks, it really came down to the Indianapolis lottery.
