Calendar

In order to watch too much racing you will need to know when it happens. Keep up with your favourite racing series by adding these calendars to your Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Microsoft Outlook, or any other service which supports the ICAL or HTML formats.

Just click the link for the racing series you want to import and it will appear in your calendar.

If you use Google or iCal the updates should appear automatically without needing to do any more.
If you download and import them into an offline calendar you will need to update them from time to time.

Scroll down to the table below to pick your championships!

Scroll beneath the table for reasons you should use these calendars!

Email Alerts

Many people get email notifications when I add an event or update it. This is not my intention.

HOW TO TURN THIS OFF:  Go to the Calendar’s Settings and change Notifications from ‘Email’ to ‘None’, or follow the instructions on this website.

When you add calendars to your Google Calendar, please check the setting and turn this off. I cannot do this from the admin side, it’s an opt-in service Google turns on by default.

Calendar List

Each series has a header and three items underneath the header:

  • Link to series website for latest news and weekend timetable.
  • ICAL link.
  • HTML link.

For iCal (iPhone, iPad, Mac) – and possibly others:
Copy the ICAL link. Open iCal and find Add Calendar and choose Add Subscription Calendar, then paste the link into the box.
ICAL is not restricted to Apple devices, try it on others.

For Google Calendar:
Click the HTML link then click the +GoogleCalendar icon at the bottom right.

Other:
Try both links and pick the one that works best for your app.

Apps work differently:

  • Some apps subscribe to real time updates, this means when I change a date it will update for you as well. Google Calendar does this.
  • Other apps download the data one time only and you will need to come back here to get the most recent files.

I recommend Google Calendar, it’s what I use to create these calendars and it updates your list as soon as I press Save on an event.

Why Use These Calendars?

A list of calendar dates in Google Calendar with F1, IndyCar, IMSA and WEC selected for April to June 2026
Google Calendar for April & May 2026, with F1, IndyCar, IMSA & WEC selected

Google Calendar dates shown in grid format for F1, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC.
April 2026 in grid format with F1, IndyCar, IMSA & WEC selected.

I’ve been updating these since the 2011 racing season. Many decisions have been taken with experience, such as to make the usability the best it can be and to reduce the admin overhead. I listen to feedback but that doesn’t mean I’ll implement it!

One championship or series = One calendar

Customise Colours
In Google Calendar you can colour-code each championship, e.g. red for F1, purple for bikes, green for endurance, brown for off-road. Or anything you like!

Races Only
Races are why we are all here. Practice sessions clutter the feed meaning you can’t find the races. Trust me, I’ve tried. Clarity is better.

Dates, Not Times
Sorry, it is a big job track race times. Unfortunately these aren’t always released when the dates themselves are released which means I would have to check them every week. I don’t have the time in my personal life to dedicate to this for 30+ series on a weekly basis. I see my job as telling you what weekend a race is happening and leave it to you to check the start time and timezone conversion.

No TV Times
I don’t know where you live!

Event Titles
Event titles are as consistent as possible. A series name followed by the event name. If the location is not in the name I will add it at the end. For endurance races I will usually include the time or distance. Multiple races in one day will also be noted. If there is a race on Saturday and a race on Sunday these will be shown separately. 24Hr races will be a single event spanning 2 days.

F1 | Singapore Grand Prix
IndyCar | 106th
Indianapolis 500
WEC | 24 Heures du Mans
GTWC Europe | Hockenheim | 3hr
NASCAR Cup | Blu-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 | Martinsville
BTCC | Thruxton | 3 races
Repco Supercars | Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 | R1 | 250km
Repco Supercars | Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 | R2 | 250km

I try to keep the correct name where I can but these entries need to be readable on mobile, so I will shorten them or make them easier to read.

‘Misc’ Calendar
Catch-all. It includes such things as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Isle of Man TT  and anything else that pops into my head.
Note that Dakar is now in the W2RC calendar and Nbr 24 is in IGTC.

‘Other Sport’ Calendar
I don’t always update this. I made it for my own benefit for the Olympics & Paralympics. I like to know that I’m not going to miss the Tour de France or the Six Nations! It is heavily biased toward sports I watch, isn’t updated very often and maybe it should be private, I just thought it might help other people know when the clashes are.

I also put in the Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana, Cricket & Rugby World Cups, Women’s Football World Cup and a few other things into my ‘Other Sport’ calendar if you want to use that!

MotoGP and WSBK are next on my hitlist.
I ought to do NASCAR soon as well but that really does take a long time..

  3. Much obliged Pat. Hard work, and a lot of it. If it’s worth anything, The Rugby World Cup has a subscription calendar on the website as does the Aviva Premiership.

  7. This is amazing. Found this through a comment on Jalopnik. Fantastic job!

I wonder if you could add in the Formula Drift series or other professional drift series into your calendar?

  8. thanks a lot, u have saved me so much time. Added all of them in just 5 minutes, while this could have taken my 5 hours if i had added them separately… Well Done !!! 😉 🙂

  9. Just on the question of drifting, I have no plans to add that. I also don’t include motocross or speedway or hillclimbing or local short track oval racing or national Formula Renault. I’m not going to include everything, have to draw the line somewhere.

  10. This is perfect! Together with Chrome it’s what I’ve probably dreamt about without even knowing it myself… Got the Google Calendar extension for chrome which means I now have “time remaining to next event” shown on the browser top right all the time + I get the agenda when I click it. This is sweet… Only a couple of series were missing which I watch through the year so I’ll add them myself probably – TCR International (new this year), Porsche Supercup, Carrera Cup Australia, Dunlop V8 Supercars and V8 Utes + maybe Clio Cup UK

  11. Wow that sounds useful, I’ll have to look that up. 🙂
Yeah I chose to leave off TCR to see how the first season develops, I’ll probably add it for next year, I do like a bit of touring cars.

  13. You’ve got the dates wrong for the first round of BES. The Monza race takes place on 4/12, not 4/6 as is currently set.

Other than that keep up the good work. Your calendars are great

  14. Woooow !!!! Thx a lot, this is great !

I think there’s been some changes in the Rallycross RX calendar.
The second round is this WE in Hockenheim.

  17. As Maxime commented on “1 May 2015 at 9:08 pm”, the World Rallycross calendar has changed and the Hockenheim round of this weekend was missing. Not a big deal though!

    Thanks for your awesome work!

  18. Thanks for the pointers.

    World Rallycross updated.
MotoGP Sachsenring updated, sorry I had gone with Google Maps’ autocomplete.

Super Formula links worked but there were no dates to import – the last time I checked (which was in March) I couldn’t find reliable dates anywhere so I gave up. I’d intended to check back later once the season started but I didn’t know when that would be. Dates are now in.

I won’t be covering juniors, there is only so much time and so much detail I can do. If I cover European juniors I then have to cover Pro Mazda and USF2000 in the US, then F3 in Japan, Australia, etc. Quite honestly I don’t have that kind of time.

I am sometimes tempted to delete some series and restrict it to the ones I actually watch! I have set my limit roughly at the GP2/FR3.5/Indy Lights level.

  19. Thanks for the fantastic calendars. I’d like to make a request, could you please make an SCCA Trans Am calendar? Thanks.

  20. Thanks. 🙂 Yes I’ll be adding Formula E soon, I was just hoping for more certainty about it as there is still a TBD. I’ve also seen the provisional F1 calendar as well so I think I’ll add that soon, even though I usually like to wait until October/November.

  21. Any chance you could do the AMA supercross series, starts this weekend with monster energy cup and then January sometime for the series start.

  22. just found this after filling them in manually for years, fantastic.
Could you tell me when you will be doing them for 2016- motogp/wsb/bsb

    Like

  23. @Tim Er, not sure on TransAm, I need to be convinced it is worthwhile.

@sksahu1 No there are too many FR2.0 categories to add.

@Dave I don’t know anything about motocross/supercross, they really aren’t on my radar..

@Jason MotoGP, WSBK and BSB will be done within the next week or two!

For 2016 I’ve done the major single seater series (except GP2), and the primary sportscar and touring car series. Next I’ll either do the bikes or the GTs, then NASCAR (which is a big job).
Speaking of touring cars, I will be adding TCR International but I won’t add the regional/national TCR series, at least until I gauge how popular they are, if at all.
I was going to delete Britcar as it was dying, but hopefully the relaunch will help so I’ll leave it in.
