Start Times: 19-20 June

I neglected this last week, though it seems most people worked out when Le Mans started! We’re back into the smaller events now so a helping hand may be needed. Of course with the hot and sunny weather we’ve been having here in the UK it seems foolish to stay in all day watching racing.

For future rounds of some of these series please see the Google Calendar links on the sidebar – be aware the start times for those events are not accurate so please only use it to find the date.

Notes
– the GP2 round scheduled at Portimao for this weekend was cancelled some time ago.
– These events are noted in UK time but I may have made errors, particularly with US events so be careful.
– I’ve listed overnight events as Saturday as many people stay up for them rather than sleep and get up especially.

  1. Me too! I’ve never seen a race at Jarama, I have a feeling it might be dire but I have to know.

I don’t like that IndyCar and NASCAR are on at once, they are both good races. NASCAR on a road course is hilarious.

  2. may have to duel screen. what are the chances they’d both go to ads at the same time?

  3. I’d imagine they’d be quite hard to follow at once. I have a feeling 8pm might be the start of TV coverage with the start a bit later. Play it by ear I suppose.

  4. NEVER have I laughed more in a race than when Barber Dodge Pro veteran turned unexpected NASCAR Winston Cup driver Jerry Nadeau qualified 2nd at Sears Point in 1998 after the track was reconfigured and was SO confident he would beat Jeff Gordon to the first corner (in a season where Gordon was winning a race about every three minutes or so) that he made a crazy ill-fated pass, took the lead, immediately drove off the track, then crashed about ten laps later and finished last.

And MAN, did Bob Jenkins used to be a great commentator. He’s lost it his edge a bit in the Versus IndyCar coverage, but he’s still earned the right to be the play-by-play guy for any US race he wants to cover…
