Well done Gavin!

Also good job Startledbunny and a nice result for myself, we tied for 2nd. Sean and Ryan also tied. This week I broke the ties by first listing the player higher up in the points standings, for no other reason than that I felt like it.

Only three players chose Sprint Cup drivers and only Dylan picked the winner. Nobody picked the ALMS winner, being a street track I think we all expected them to crash out! In contrast, every player picked the MotoGP winner. The only player not to pick the IndyCar winner was Maverick.

Please see the results produced by Sebastian for a break-down driver by driver.

Very little happening in the overall table this week, not too surprising this late into the year. There are still several positions up for grabs though!

Races This Week

F1 Monza

Monza is a superb venue, the atmosphere pours though the TV screen and anyone who says they don’t love it is lying. That doesn’t always mean the race is a good one though, I remember several from the one-stop era which were really tedious.
This year with Pirelli wear rates we should’ve looked forward to a good one, but the FIA have elected to create two DRS overtaking zones so I’m expecting a bit of a lottery with artificial passing and repassing. Still, that could be entertaining in itself.

ILMC / LMS Silverstone

The Silverstone 6 Hours is a race I’ve been looking forward to since I attended last year’s event (the 1000km). This is a round of both the ILMC and the LMS and as of today there are 49 cars on the entry list.
Audi and Peugeot again pitch up to do battle with their two cars each. It isn’t known if Anthony Davidson will be racing, he’s listed on the entry but we might not find out how his injury has healed until he takes part in practice, so Simon Pagenaud is also listed for that car. It is interesting to see AMR bring out their older Lola (similar to Muscle Milk car in the ALMS) rather than run their newer car again, could that be the tip for the first non-diesel home?

NASCAR Cup Richmond

When the series visited in May the top three was Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Kasey Kahne. I wouldn’t put money on Kahne repeating but maybe the others will be in the top five. We’re getting very close to the Chase now so expect a few nerves to be fraught.

Good luck!
