Congratulations Sebastian – what a score! 409 is just two points shy of matching the record for the year to date. Well done too to The Speedgeek for a superb score to finish a relatively close second. Sean was a creditable 3rd a little way back. All three can pat themselves on the back, nobody else got remotely near them. Well done!
Once again the presence of both Peugeot and Audi – and with 3 drivers per car – at a major endurance race was the key to unlocking some very high scores. Both Sebastian and Speedgeek picked the three winning drivers from Petit Le Mans for the full 150 points, while Sean, Jon and myself picked two of them. Only Jackie picked all three 2nd-placed drivers. Sebastian, Sean and Jackie each picked the three 3rd-placed drivers in that race for 105 points. Jon picked two drivers from each of the podium cars resulting the 2nd-best ALMS score this week.
Some of the other scores weren’t bad in themselves, in any other week they’d be considered good scores.
Speedgeek and RG picked Dixon to win the IndyCar, he also appeared in James’ line-up but that was a carryover entry. Everybody correctly guessed Loeb as the winner of the rally. Nobody picked Biffle for the Cup race. Speaking of carryovers and NASCAR, Burwellian’s score was very impressive in the circumstances.
For further insight into how the scores were calculated, Sebastian shows them in a different format and you can see the table here.

Well done for first passing the 10k mark and significantly extending your lead, Sebastian.
Sean and Speedgeek regain a large chunk of lost ground, Sean is now only 58 points behind RG and Speedgeek opens a gap to Jon. Jackie is on the cusp over beating Burwellian for that 9th spot. We may see some position changes soon.

Coming Up – Week 36
Formula 1 – I love Suzuka, it was a shame last year’s race wasn’t as good as many have been in the past and I’m sure it was just an abberation. For us in the UK the race is at about 5am, I have every intention of getting up for it. I can’t say I’ll be so committed for Korea in a few weeks.
NASCAR Sprint Cup – California Speedway, better known to many of us as Fontana. With only two races this week you’ll need at least 3 picks from here. Current Standings
Enjoy the races!
In the rush of seeing family at the weekend, I forgot to set up last week. Whoops.
Carryover for F1 please… and think I will for NASCAR too actually. 🙂
