Congratulations to… myself! A narrow win over a tight field. As I think many of us expected there wasn’t a huge difference in scores this weekend so any difference is minor, even so I’m still pleased to take the ‘win’.

The Cup scoring in particular was quite weak when some fancied runners failed to produce a good result – notable Biffle who was picked by 8 people, but also Kenseth and Edwards.
Over in F1, everybody that made an entry (i.e. not James or Dank) picked the top five finishers, except for Speedgeek. He and three others were hit by the retirement of the unfortunate Kubica, who’s retirement cost them a lot of points and the rest of the sight of an interloper mixing it with those fighting for the title.

Check out Sebastian’s break-down of the scores per pick.

Nothing spectacular in the table as the field generally spaces out again. After being outscored by him last week, Jon is once again closing gradually on Speedgeek. Burwellian has begun to mount a (so far) successful defence against Jackie in the closest battle on the table – and both could soon catch and pass James.

Results sheets are now available on the TMR drop.io.

Coming Up – Week 38

DTM – Formerly the DTM finale, the second annual visit to Hockenheim is merely the 3rd-from-last event of the 2010 season but this year it has a slight twist – the long Parabolika has been shortened and there’s a cut-through to rejoin in front of the Mercedes-Arena (so skipping that hairpin), this has been done in order to create more laps. In April the top four finishers were Mercedes drivers with four Audis behind, will the balance be different this time? DTM website.

NASCAR Sprint Cup – Charlotte’s second race of the year. In the May’s 600-miler the Busch brothers finished 1st and 3rd with McMurray in the sandwich – can they repeat in this week’s 500 mile race?  Current Standings

Just these two this week, enjoy the races!
