2018 MotoGP
FIM Road Racing World Championship in three classes: MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
I haven’t broken them into separate calendars as all three classes presently race at every Grand Prix meeting.
Oh and if you don’t watch MotoGP or the sub-classes, sort yourself out because you really should!

What’s Changed?
In:
- Thailand GP at Buriram.
The new addition for this year, which I think has been coming for a while, is the Thailand Grand Prix at the Buriram track. World Superbikes have been going for a few years now.
This is an expansion to the calendar, so we go up from 18 to 19 rounds.
Aside from that there are some date shuffles in the summer. In 2017 we saw a couple of back-to-back weekends in June/July, Mugello and Barcelona were paired, then a week off before Assen and Sachsenring. This gave the teams four consecutive weekends off through July/August.
For 2018 this is gone. The mid-summer break reduces to two clear weekends in July. The series runs a ‘week on, week off’ schedule with a race every 2 weeks all the way from April (Rio Hondo) to mid-July (Sachsenring). There is a short break before the Brno and Red Bull Ring double in early August.
The hardest part of it is the three consecutive weeks of racing at the very end of the year, just as before, where the teams go from Japan to Australia to Malaysia. It gives a very condensed finish to the year which presumably helps the championship PR. And it means they’re away from Europe for less time.
Thanks for the calendar. But it’s only for each date. I was hoping for one that has an event created for each of the race times. So I know when to watch. Any idea where to find one?

Unfortunately I am not in a position to update these listings weekly without giving up other things. (I suppose there is scope for dropping the blog and just maintaining a site for calendars)
The best I can do is show the date, then when you get to the day before, you go to the series website to check the time when it actually is, or your local TV listings for whenever it is being shown where you are (which may not be live). Some championships may only announce their schedule in the weeks leading up to the race, or change it late, which requires a weekly check of all series running that week. I just can’t do that.
